TUSA Games 2017

The most awaited Tanzania University Games, famously known has TUSA as arrived. The last TUSA^® games was held in December 2015 at University of Dodoma. This Year, consecutively the University has been given another chance to host 18 participating Universities. They include our own brand Ardhi University. Hubert Kairuki Memorial University, The Open University of Tanzania, MoCU, MUCE, SUZA , St. Joseph University, Zanzibar University, Mzumbe University, Sokoine University of Morogoro, St. John University, University of Iringa, RUCU University, MUST , Eckenford University, Dar es Salaam University college of Education (DUCE) and our neighbors, University of Dar es salaam.

Volleyball

Fantastic play has been done by our very own Volleyball team, Geofrey Kitila the team captain did a great job to organize and made our team scoring sequentially and leading group B that includes Mbeya University of Science and technology and Dar es salaam University college of education.
In the first match played on  Dec 15th, the team won three sets straight against DUCE, the game that left the opponents mouth opened  and stranded from the strongest six men from ARU volleyball team.

The second match was played on Dec 16^th, it was exciting and strong against Mbeya University of Science and Technology, we won the first set and lost the second we then hardly won the third set and go for the forth were we went head to head until the final whistle scoring 25 points against 23 points. We did great and secured effortlessly a position to quarter finals and being the first on our group.

Basketball

The basketball team has done an amazing job in its first match, the team lead by Michael has a coach, a fifth year Architecture student had a difficult time on matching his squad against the Open University of Tanzania. Hardly the team took its first match on the pitch Dec 15^th but lost the match by goal difference.

The team is expecting to return on the pitch on Dec 17^th to secure its golden chance for the group qualifying. On 17^th the team will meet St. John University around p.m. in the evening

Netball

The two times winners in TUSA games, our Netball team from Ardhi is still doing wonders on every single match. The team Played its first snug game on 15^th Dec, we lost by a very trivial difference against Dar es salaam college of Education.

With more control, and adjustment of strategies Dec 16^th we played against Mbeya University of science and technology and won with a heavyweight knock, our opponents had no exhalation zone with our own very best, fastest and accurate Ardhi shooters, and secured a chance for the quarterfinals. Dec 18th our team will be turning back on the pitch.

Football

The most spoken football team TUSA 2017: from left Godfrey, Nzaga, Galuc, Mdoe, Shariff, Msimbe, Kilonge, Jacob, Prosper, Shimo, Jack, Erasto, Alex, Emilly, Mkude.

One of the best spoken teams for this 2017 TUSA games is ours, there are 18 University coped from four groups, Our team is one of the strongest with the best squad and made up of the youngest and super talented players who are with the best coach Mr Musa Nditi.

We played our first match against St. John University on 15^th Dec, we possessed the ball in all the two half. In the first half we had a lead by two goals that were scored fantastically with our very own Geofrey shimo and went in the first half ahead two goals. 

Returned for the second half with more energy and ambitions to win, we dominated the play and managed to possess the game entirely, before the opponents got a contradicting goal that passed behind the goal net and the game ended with a lead of 3 points and leading group B That contains St. John university, Hubert Kairuki  memorial University, Mzumbe University and Mbeya University of Science and technology.

The second match we played against Hubert Kairuki Memorial University, it was one of our fantastic games played and the most spoken one in the competition, we scored 4 goals against 1 in the first half with a hatrick from our very own guy.

In the second half we played an amazing Barcelona game and finished up with another 2 goals, making a total of 6 goals against 1, a superb match day at University of Dodoma.

We played our third match on 16th Dec against Mzumbe University, a strong squad did an amazing job once against scoring 3 goals against none from our opponents, our team leads in Group A with 9 points and 11 goals clean unbeaten sheet.

Our very own Ardhi University Athletes lead by team captain Nabil , will be challenging their Tanzanian Universities opponents on Tuesday morning Dec 19^th  were Nabil will be defending his medal title in mens 200 m and a gold medal from Long Jump Esther her medal in females 100 m and a relay team of 4x100  for men is expected to be lead by Nabil, Mdoe, Msimbe and Erasto while for female will be lead by Esther, Anna, Aina and Irene.
